Please ignore the label size and go off the measurements instead (I lost a lot of baby weight between ordering the dress and my fittings, and I had it altered to fit my body shape perfectly, so the label size is now sort of irrelevant).
I am 5'6" without heels and a size 6-8 (sometimes 10 on top depending on the dress style as I have a wide-ish bust and shoulders). I would ensure you are slightly smaller than the measurements I've given and then just have the dress taken in a little so it becomes a perfect fit for you.
